My name is Andrew Beasley, and I’m a lifelong Liverpool fan. I’ve always been interested in football trivia, but with the explosion of statistical info that has been made available in recent years, I have been able to indulge my interest further.

I volunteered to write my first piece for The Tomkins Times in April 2010 (which you can read here), and set up this blog in January 2011; I was inspired to found BassTunedToRed when Kenny Dalglish returned to take over as manager!

Since then, Rafa Benitez mentioned me at his ‘An Evening With Rafa Benitez’ in Liverpool in 2011 in relation to this piece, and I got a name-check on his website here.

In December 2012 I was voted as The Tomkins Times’ poster of the year, which considering the calibre of subscriber they have is an incredible honour, and during the same month, this blog passed 100,000 all-time hits, which is amazing as I never thought it would do so well.

June 2012 saw the 200,000 hit mark passed as the blog continues to go from strength-t0-strength. These numbers are small fry for a lot of websites, but I’m proud to have got this far!

I don’t profess to have all the answers, and working with stats is always open to issues, but hopefully you have found some food for thought here!

Oh, and if you’re wondering about the blog name, it’s a play on the title of this track by Super Furry Animals, my favourite ever band. So now you know!
